Congratulations to Emily Spencer, Kennedy’s Athena Award Winner!
The Athena Award is given to one senior female athlete who has distinguished herself in special individual athletic achievement or superior achievements in one or more sports.
Emily Spencer has been a three-sport athlete for most of her high school career.
She started playing varsity softball for the Eagles in middle school, earning five varsity letters, two All-Section awards, one All-Conference award, one team MVP, and is a captain this season. She is the program’s all-time leader in home runs.
Emily has earned two varsity letters as a member of the girls hockey team and was awarded the Mike Ryan Scholarship after this season.
Emily joined the Kennedy volleyball team her sophomore year and became a varsity player as a junior, earning two varsity letters.
Emily has been with the TC Blitz for four years and holds the record for the highest number of homerun balls
Next year, Emily plans to go to a four-year college and do things that make her happy.
